Martha Sullivan is a business development coach for attorneys and other professional service providers. She is certified as a professional coach through New Ventures West in San Francisco. Martha was featured in a December, 2005, article on business development coaching in The Recorder and the National Law Journal. She has more than 25 years of experience in marketing and business development and created Thornton Marketing in 1999. She was a marketing manager for Bancroft-Whitney when the Thomson Corporation acquired West Publishing, and served on several integration task forces, including the brand management task force. Prior to that, she started an in-house ad agency for Franklin/Templeton Investments, and worked as an account manager on the Bank of America business at Grey Advertising, and on Levi Strauss at Foote, Cone & Belding. Martha is active in the Legal Marketing Association - Bay Area Chapter and was named the Rella Lossy Marketing Professional at the Chapter's Your Honor Awards in October, 2005. She is currently the co-chair of the Mentoring Committee, served on the Board as Secretary in 2005, and was co-chair of the Program Committee in 2003 and 2004. She was a presenter at the Legal Marketing Association national conferences in 2006 and 2002, and has given presentations to the Bay Area Chapter. Martha attended Simmons College in Boston and received her BA in communications and filmmaking from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. In her spare time, she practices patience and equanimity on the golf course. |
